Firefighters in Welwyn Garden City raised £130 for a hospice by holding a car wash event.

Last week members of Red Watch, led by Julian Dennis, presented the Isabel Hospice with a cheque following last year’s fundraiser.

Receiving the money was Jordan Russell, from the hospice fundraising team.

She said: “It is wonderful to have the support of Welwyn Garden City fire station.

“We serve the same population as they do, and we look forward to working with them on fundraising events later in 2014.”
