Police have closed the main road between Hatfield and Hertford while firefighters deal with a blazing car.

Firefighters were called to a burning car on the hard shoulder of the east-bound A414 at about 2.25pm, and police have closed the road between the Holwell Lane roundabout and Mill Green.

Police say no other vehicles were involved, and nobody has been injured.

Bystander Pedro Sokhi told the Welwyn Hatfield Times: “Cars are queueing for nearly two miles.”
