A MOTORIST speeding along quiet residential streets in Hatfield careered off the road and crashed into a family home.
The black Vauxhall Astra ploughed into the house in Salisbury Hall Drive at 3.20pm on Wednesday.
It caused structural damage to the property and garage, as well as taking out an iron fence.
Luckily no-one was in the house – but homeowner Richard Gemmell revealed the accident could have been much worse.
