A CAR has come off the A1(M) and hit a tree.
Police, fire and ambulance were called to a white Volskwagen Polo which was found at a 45 degree angle after it had gone up the verge and hit a tree.
The accident happened at 12.55pm this afternoon (Friday) in between junctions six (Welwyn) and seven (WGC) southbound.
A police spokeswoman said the male driver did not require a hospital and the traffic is now flowing freely.
