Car collision leaves 10 year-old girl hospitalised

A 10-YEAR-OLD girl has been taken to hospital with a possible broken leg after she was in collision with a car.

The incident happened at about 3.30pm on Kirklands, which is just off Knightsfield in WGC.

The driver of the black Peugeot 206, which was in collision with the girl, was a 23-year-old woman from Welwyn.

She is believed to have been uninjured in the accident.

The girl is a pupil at Homerswood Primary School.

Headteacher Samantha Sillito said: “She was walking home from school. Lots of people helped out and the ambulance and police were on the scene very quickly.

“We are very pleased to hear that she is going to be all right.”
