A CAR was seized by police in Welwyn because the driver only had a provisional driving licence.
And officers also recovered metal bar the deemed an “offensive weapon”.
The KIA Ceed was stopped by the Operation Sentinel ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition) team working with the Welwyn Safer Neighbourhood Team on London Road in Welwyn on March 31.
The driver – a 42-year-old from Welwyn – has been reported straight to St Albans Magistrates court for possession of an offensive weapon and driving otherwise than in accordance with his driving licence.
He is due at St Albans Magistrates Court on May 24.
