CALLOUS burglars stole jewellery and chinaware of sentimental value from the home of an elderly woman during broad daylight. The 'opportunistic' theft, from Hawkshead Road in Little Heath, took place after the woman left her home with a friend.
CALLOUS burglars stole jewellery and chinaware of sentimental value from the home of an elderly woman during broad daylight.
The "opportunistic" theft, from Hawkshead Road in Little Heath, took place after the woman left her home with a friend.
Unfortunately, she forgot to lock her front door, allowing the thieves to ransack the house.
A number of items, including a wristwatch, a gold ring with a ruby, cash, clocks and chinaware were swiped.
The burglary took place between noon and 2.50pm on Friday, July 17, but police have only released the details today.
