Over £6,000 worth of Nescafe coffee was stolen from a lorry parked up near Potters Bar and police are trying to trace the highly-alert thieves.

The boxes of Nescafe coffee were stolen from a flat-bed lorry parked at the South Mimms service station.

The pallets of coffee, worth £6,311 in total, were stolen between 10pm on February 20, and 5am on February 21.

PCSO Kleanthis Kourtoubelides said: “It would have taken some time to unload the boxes and they would have needed a big vehicle to put them in.

“Did you see anyone acting suspiciously or have you been offered large quantities of Nescafe coffee for sale?”
