Brazen burglars strike in Potters Bar while resident sleeps

Brazen burglars targeted a bungalow in Potters Bar, stealing jewellery and cash, while the occupant was asleep.
Intruders forced their way in through a front ground floor bedroom window of a bungalow in Wellesley Crescent between 9.30pm and 11.39pm on Thursday, July 20.
They turned a bedroom upside down as they looked for valuables.
Various rings, a bracelet, earrings, a chain and a couple of watches were stolen.
Money was also taken.
A police spokeswoman said: “The occupant, who is in their 70s, was asleep at the time.
“Enquiries are ongoing.
“They opened a window at the front of the property and left through the same window.”
