Police swarm road and make one arrest

Police used the force helicopter and dog unit to search for suspects in connection with an alleged burglary.

Police were alerted at 7.53pm on Tuesday, March 13, to an alarm activation at a flat in The Ridgeway, Cuffley.

Officers went along to the property and one offender made off on a moped from the scene.

Two other offenders exited the property and the police helicopter, along with the dog unit, was deployed to search for them.

A man was located and has been arrested.

A police spokeswoman said: “Police are investigating an alleged burglary at an apartment in The Ridgeway, Potters Bar.

“It happened between 7.45pm and 7.52pm on Tuesday, March 13.

“Offender(s) gained access to the property by damaging a rear door.

•Anyone who saw anything suspicious or has any other information should contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference J3/18/387.
