Police are investigating a burglary in Cuffley.


A balaclava-clad burglar fled after being disturbed by a resident in Welwyn Hatfield.

Police received a call at 8.09pm on Tuesday, January 8, to reports of a man who had got into a house in Homewood Avenue, Cuffley.

The man fled from the house after being disturbed by an occupant.

Officers attended the scene and searched the area but the man was not located.

He is described as white, in his thirties and with blue eyes.

He was wearing a black balaclava and grey and black clothing.

Officers are investigating and any witnesses, or anyone with information, should contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference 41/2337/19.
