Birth and death certificates taken in Brookmans Park burglary

Police are investigating after burglars ransacked a property, stealing a safe along with birth and death certificates.

A police spokesman said: “Police are investigating a burglary that took place in Bradmore Way, Brookmans Park on Thursday, December 14.

“Between 1.15pm and 4.05pm, offender(s) gained entry to the rear of a house and conducted an untidy search.”

The burglars caused damage to a back door to get into the house.

A safe was taken along with the following items:

•A sovereign gold chain necklace

•A gold ring with pink rubies set in a floral pattern

•A thin platinum/white gold ring with a large round diamond


•Birth and death certificates

•A quantity of cash

Anyone with information, including anyone who believes they may have been offered one of these items for sale, should contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference B2/17/6087.
