BURGLARS broke in and stole two computers and lead from the roof from Dame Alice Owen’s School in Potters Bar this morning (Tuesday).

Police are appealing for information after the raid at the Dugdale Hill Lane site.

The incident took place at 1.30am when the crooks forced entry through two windows in the music block and stole Apple Mac computers and keyboards.

It is believed they also gained access to the roof of the sports changing rooms and removed some lead flashing.

PC Matthew Knowles said: “We will be carrying out extensive enquiries into this burglary in order to trace those responsible however I’m appealing to anyone who lives in the area who may have seen or heard anything suspicious at this time to call me. Additionally, if you know who is responsible I would urge you to call police.”

• Anyone with information should call police on the non-emergency number on 0845 33 00 222.
