POLICE are hunting for a missing concrete bulldog which was snatched from a garden.

The dog statue was pinched from a property in Elmscroft Gardens, Potters Bar, some time between July 28 and August 12.

Officers have this week released an image of the ornament in an appeal to get the dog back to its owners.

Pc Dean Edwards said: “I would like to appeal to anyone who heard or saw any suspicious activity around the time of the incident to come forward.

“The stolen ornament is quite heavy so it may have been obvious to any witnesses when it was taken.

“It is also quite distinctive, so someone may have noticed it appear somewhere else.

“Alternatively, if you have any information regarding this incident or think you may have seen this unusual item, I would also like to encourage you to get in touch.”

Call Pc Edwards with information on the non-emergency number 101.
