PUPILS have been busy baking cakes ready to sell at Brookmans Park's 50th annual Village Day.
The youngsters were given a helping hand from former Spurs and England defender and villager Gary Mabbutt, and Brookmans Park mascot Brookers.
Saturday's event will have a special golden theme. It will start at 12.45pm with a fancy dress parade from the village green, before the fun and games start at the junior school in Bradmore Way, at 1pm.
In the main arena will be displays from children under the banner Brookmans Park's Got Talent, and there will be a live auction hosted by Mr Mabbutt.
Village Day committee chairman Fiona Patel said: "The golden anniversary of this event makes it a really special occasion. We are sure this will again be a great day out for all the family.
"Everyone is welcome come rain or shine!"
Admission is 1 for adults and 50p for children.
