A TRADITIONAL May Day celebration took place on a village green with dancing, Punch and Judy and much more.
Brookmans Park Rotary Club hosted the event at Bradmore Green and saw residents enjoying strawberries and cream and face painting.
Children from Brookmans Park and Little Heath primary schools, who had been practising for weeks to perfect their steps, danced around the maypole and demonstrated country dancing.
Geoff Felix entertained with his authentic Punch and Judy show, and organisations, which included school PTAs, the RSPCA, the Women’s Institute, the Potters Bar Theatre Company and some local businesses, ran stalls.
A spokesman for the Rotary club said: “We are all so impressed with the hard work that the children have put in to make this a special day for the community.”
