A broken down crane on the M25 caused long delays for Potters Bar.

The crane broke down at around 4.30am today, on the clockwise carriageway between Junction 24 for Potters Bar and Junction 25 for Enfield.

The crane was in a convoy going to a job, and broke down because it needed a new tyre.

One lane was closed, causing long delays for traffic coming from Potters Bar.

The crane was recovered by 6.20am and both lanes were reopened.
