Police, including dog handlers, were called to O'Neill's in Parkway after reports of a large disturbance among revellers.
They had to use CS gas to disperse the 40-strong crowd as the mayhem unfolded just after midnight on Saturday night.
Two men, from WGC and Stevenage, were arrested.
Police were then called to a disturbance at the Oak Tavern, in Moors Walk, at 1.30am.
Three men, all from WGC, were arrested.
