THUGS, who violently attacked a teenage boy in Potters Bar, are being hunted by police.

A witness appeal has been launched after the assault in The Walk on September 17, which left a 13-year-old boy with facial injuries.

The beating took place at approximately 9.40pm close to the junction
with Watkins Rise, when the victim had been in the street with a group of friends.

A car pulled up alongside the group, two men got out, pulled the boy away from the group and attacked him.

The assailants then got back into the car and fled from the scene.

The boy was left with cuts and bruises on his face.

Investigating officer, Pc Ruth Cash, said: “This sort of incident is a very rare occurrence in the local area and thankfully the boy was not seriously injured following the assault.

“I am appealing to anyone who was in the area around the time the incident took place and witnessed anything to please get in touch.

“Did you see the assault take place or did you see the car?

“Perhaps you may know who the offenders are?

“Any information you provide no matter how small, could help us to identify those responsible for this crime.”

n Anyone should call Pc Cash on the non-emergency number 101 citing crime reference number J3/11/1081.
