A TWELVE-YEAR-OLD boy was seriously injured after he was in collision with a car in South Mimms on Good Friday.

The accident happened at about 7.30pm in St Albans Road, near the White Hart pub.

The boy, who was with another lad of a similar age, was crossing the road when he was in collision with a black Ford Fiesta.

Emergency services were called and the boy was taken to the Royal Free Hospital in London, where he is said to be in a serious condition.

The male driver of the Fiesta, which was travelling from the direction of Potters Bar, was uninjured.

Police are appealing for witnesses. Officers would particularly like to trace the driver of a dark coloured vehicle that was in front of the Fiesta shortly before the accident.
