Bomb discovery sparks village evacuation

A BOMB scare hit Cuffley this morning (Tuesday), after an unexploded wartime device was said to have been found.

The discovery at a site, in Theobalds Road, is thought to be a World War Two bomb.

Residents in nearby homes were evacuated, and had to use Cuffley Hall as shelter.

Police cordoned off the road and a spokesman confirmed a device had been found.
