Arsenal legend Bob Wilson was all smiles at the opening of Willow Foundation’s first shop in Welwyn Garden City on Friday.

Bob, who founded Willow with his wife Megs after the death of his daughter, Anna, helped cut the ribbon before a large number of customers filled the shop.

With him was Michael Gray, who will soon go on his ‘special day’, set up by Willow to give seriously-ill young adults and their families a day to remember.

It is the first of four shops the charity will open this year, with Stevenage, Hemel Hempstead and Barnet all set for stores.

Bob said: “The fact that this is where we first started, means it’s the perfect fit us for Welwyn Garden City to be the first one.

“It means people in WGC have a choice and hopefully they say I like what they do.”
