HISTORIC figures in Times Territory could be recognised in the upcoming months with the launch of a memorial tablet scheme this week.
Nominations for the Blue Plaque Scheme, which has been setup by the Museum
Service and the Welwyn Hatfield Heritage Forum, are wanted.
To qualify for the award, the person must have been dead for five years, have been closely connected with the borough for several years, be known to most well-informed local people, have clear factual information to support the application and have a suitable location to affix the plaque to.
Suggestion forms are available from Mill Green Museum, Welwyn Roman Baths and borough libraries.
