ICELANDIC singer Björk has pulled out of this weekend's dance festival at Knebworth House.
The one-day Wild in the Country clubbing event is still due to go ahead on Saturday.
A statement on Björk's website said: "Due to circumstances outside her control, Björk has been forced to withdraw from the Wild in the Country Festival.
"Björk is extremely disappointed about this.
"As a result of significant problems with the event, including its staging, sound and lighting, it is no longer possible for her to perform."
Festival promoters Renaissance replied: "There have been what we believed to be still ongoing discussions regarding Bjork's production requirements.
"We are obviously disappointed, having the utmost respect for Bjork as an artiste, and extend our best wishes to her.
"Contrary to what has been suggested, we have diligently provided all production requirements for all of the other acts appearing on this year's line-up."
Knebworth House managing director Martha Lytton Cobbold said it was disappointing for all concerned.
She added: "The festival will carry on and it will be an exciting event for all those coming."
The 18-hour event, running from 1pm until 6am will include live bands like Foals, Late of The Pier, Killa Kela, Metronomy, Booka Shade, Battles, Dan Le Sac Vs Scroobius Pip, The Field, XX Teens, and Slagsmalsklubben.
The dance music line-up includes DJs such as Sasha, M.A.N.D.Y., James Zabiela, Annie Mac, Ame, Plump DJs, Norman Jay, Dixon, Audiofly, Inxec, Matt Tolfrey, and Marcus James.
