Police are appealing for information after two bikes were snatched from Welwyn Garden City town centre.

The thieves took the pedal bikes – which were locked and secured – from the bike rack outside Specsavers in Howardsgate between 7.20pm and 7.50pm on Saturday, March 4.

Officers do not know how they were taken.

One of the bikes is described as a black Specialized mountain bike.

A police spokeswoman asked anyone who saw anything suspicious between the times stated to contact them via 101, quoting either B1/17/919 or B1/17/925.
