A MOTORBIKE and a car have collided on the B197 Digswell Hill, Welwyn, this afternoon (Wednesday). The accident happened at about 2.20pm, outside the Red Lion pub. The road is currently closed off. It is believed three vehicles were involved

A MOTORBIKE and a car have collided on the B197 Digswell Hill, Welwyn, this afternoon (Wednesday).

The accident happened at about 2.20pm, outside the Red Lion pub.

The road is currently closed off.

It is believed three vehicles were involved including a blue Honda bike, a black Volkswagen Golf and a blue Astra.

Paramedics have been treating a 45-year-old man, who injured his leg.

Gary Sanderson, spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service, said: “A man has been conveyed to the QE2 with a serious leg injury.”
