A MOTORCYCLIST has died after his bike collided with a car.

The 21-year-old Potters Bar man suffered severe head injuries after his silver Honda motorbike collided with a blue Rover just after 1.30pm on Friday.

The smash on Darkes Lane, Potters Bar led to police, paramedics and an air ambulance being called to the scene.

An air ambulance had to set down in the playing field of Mount Grace School, Church Road.

Although the helicopter was not used, the motorcyclist was taken to the QE2 Hospital in WGC, but died of his injuries on Monday.

He has not yet been named.

The man driving the car was unhurt but treated for shock on the roadside by paramedics.
