Potters Bar shoppers were left puzzled as filming for BBC series Cormoran Strike took place in the town.
Potters Heel Bar in High Street temporarily became a film set, as producers for the new series – based on J.K. Rowling’s novels – took over the shop.
Owner Kyri Nicolaou revealed he was approached by the show’s representatives, who told him they liked the shop and asked to use it last Friday between 10.30am and 2pm.
“It’s nice to have something that people quite like and in a sense to be recognised,” he told the Potters Bar Edition.
“I was quite proud and on a high.
“I have been in the town 28 years and serving the community for a length of time so it’s nice.”
The father-of-two used the opportunity to run some errands, but came back to curious passersby trying to work out what was happening.
“Once I came back you could see the slow-moving traffic, and obviously for the last half-an-hour people were asking what was going on.”
