BBC Radio 1 switched its London studio for Hatfield this morning, as the international station went live from the University of Hertfordshire for a special show.

A mere handful of students were treated to be in the audience for the recording of DJ Fearne Cotton’s show, which this week is going across four of the UK’s top uni venues for Radio 1’s Student Tour 2011.

The uni’s swanky Style Bar, in the Forum Hertfordshire, proved the perfect setting for the 10am programme, which featured an incredible Live Lounge performance from one of the UK’s biggest current acts – Example.

The intimate gig, by the rapper-come-singer, topped off a fantastic morning of entertainment for the Hatfield audience, who got thoroughly involved in the recording – and indeed live internet filming – by taking part in a series of games.
