TWO popular barmen will be hosting a fundraising extravaganza ahead of their charity skydive.

The pair, who will be pulling the cords on their parachutes rather than pints, are hosting a cocktail and slave auction night on Sunday at the White Horse, Welwyn.

Adam Richardson, who works at the pub and his colleague Gary Schoeman, 23, have planned the night ahead of their charity jump on May 21.

Twenty-year-old Adam said that the night will go a long way to raising their goal of £2,000 for the Isabel Hospice and Welwyn St Mary's Primary School.

The barman, who lives in Stevenage, said: "I don't think we really thought the whole idea of jumping out of a plane through.

"Putting yourself up to jump from 14,500ft is a big deal but it's something that we just want to raise as much money as possible for now.

"It's great to be getting money for the local causes and being able to put on a good night for people at the pub too.

"The slave auction should be pretty amusing with people up to be bid for."

The bash at the pub on Mill Lane starts at 7.30pm with tickets priced at £10.
