HAPLESS burglars left empty-handed after attempting to break into an off-licence in Potters Bar.
The raiders damaged doors to the rear of Bargain Booze in Cranborne Parade, Mutton Lane, as they tried in vain to access the store and help themselves to the alcohol inside.
The attempted burglary took place between 1.50am and 2.15am on Wednesday last week.
