Burglars try to break into Potters Bar home with crowbar

Police are appealing for witnesses after two burglars tried to break into a Potters Bar home using a crowbar.

Officers are investigating the attempted burglary in The Greenway, which happened at around 4.30am on Tuesday, April 3.

A police spokeswoman said: “Two offenders attempted to force entry to a property via a front window before being disturbed and making off in a dark-coloured vehicle onto Field View Road towards Sunnybank Road.

“The offenders are both described as men aged 18 to 30. One was wearing an Armani EA7 jacket with a hood and the other was wearing a white jacket with a hood.

“Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area at the time or has any other information, should contact Hertfordshire Constabulary on the non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference J3/18/494.”
