Two arrests in Welwyn Garden City over attempted bike thefts

Police swooped on a road in Welwyn Garden City this afternoon after receiving reports of people attempting to steal bicycles.

Officers were called at 1.54pm today to a bike rack in Hyde Way.

A Herts Police spokeswoman said: “As part of our enquiries officers went to the Howard Centre.

“Two males have been arrested on suspicion of theft.”
