Aspiring Welwyn Hatfield MPs to be grilled by students

Hatfield's University of Hertfordshire students will grill Welwyn Hatfield's aspiring MPs at an election hustings.

The event on Tuesday, May 30, will give local voters the opportunity to hear from the all the main parties’ candidates before the vote on June 8.

It will be hosted by the student union in the university’s Weston Auditorium, from 6pm to 7pm, and is open to the public.

Anawar Miah (Labour), Grant Shapps (Conservative), Nigel Quinton (Lib Dem), Dean Milliken (UKIP) and Christianne Sayers (The Green Party) will all be attending.

Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from the candidates and put forward questions both on the night and during the booking process.
