TWO teenage boys have been arrested after a blaze at a school this morning (Tuesday).
The fire broke at Veralum School in St Albans - a school attended by nearly 50 pupils from Welwyn Hatfield.
Students were evacuated from the secondary school after the fire took hold in a first-floor classroom at about 11.30am.
It caused substantial damage to at least three rooms and the roof of the Brampton Road building.
Police confirmed the two boys are being questioned on suspicion of arson.
The school, which remained closed for the rest of today, is expected to open tomorrow as normal.
Parents are urged to check the school's website at www.verulamschool.net for any change to that.
