A man in his 20s remains in hospital following a fight in Potters Bar yesterday afternoon.

Police were called by a member of the public at 1.52pm yesterday to reports of a fight in Willow Way, Potters Bar.

Police attended and two people were arrested in the car park of Tesco in Mutton Lane.

A Herts Police spokeswoman told the Welwyn Hatfield Times: “An extensive search was carried out to locate a third suspect, which included the police helicopter, armed police and the dog unit.

“The man was not located and enquiries are on-going at this stage.

“The victim –aged in his 20s – remains in hospital.”

•A 24-year-old man from London has been arrested on suspicion of affray and robbery.

•A 19-year-old man from London has been arrested on suspicion of affray, robbery and possession of Class C drugs.

They both remain in police custody at this time.
