TWO people were arrested in Hatfield on suspicion of money laundering, as part of a county-wide operation.
About �12,000 was seized from the pair, a 31-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man, both from Luton.
They were arrested in the town centre on September 17, and subsequently bailed.
In total, 16 people were arrested and more than �90,000 recovered as part of Operation Payback, a bid to crack down on those profiting from crime.

As well as focusing on those suspected of money laundering offences, a number of the arrests were for drugs possession and supply, fraud and running a brothel.
