A MAN has been arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary in WGC.

Three thugs forced a man into his first floor flat just before noon yesterday (Tuesday).

One was brandishing a handgun during the attack at Howlands House in WGC.

A police helicopter was called off the search for the three young black men, after about an hour.

Detectives were carrying out house-to-house enquiries near the scene until around 5pm.

Police have now confirmed "a couple of hundred" pounds in cash, and a games console, was taken during the raid.

A police spokeswoman told the WHT a 24-year-old man from Hackney has been arrested in London.

He is currently in police custody.
