ROBBERS armed with a gun have raided a supermarket in WGC.
The raid at Somerfield in Woodhall Parade took place at around 6am on Tuesday.
Police have released a description of the two men who carried out the attack. They are believed to be two black men, with London accents, wearing all black clothing.
Detective chief inspector Trevor Rodenhurst said: “The members of staff were understandably shaken but thankfully were not harmed as a result of this incident.
“We’re following a number of lines of enquiry into this crime and I’m appealing for anyone who may have seen the incident take place, or anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity before the robbery, to get in contact with police.
“Maybe you recognise the description. Any information you provide, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could help us to solve this crime.”
