Bailiffs and the Armed Police Unit evicted travellers from a building site in Welwyn Garden City, where they had set up an unauthorised encampment.
Travellers set up five caravans at 41-45 Broadwater Road on Tuesday, October 25.
The bailiffs gained access to the site today with assistance from police, who had tools to cut through doors which the travellers had locked.
The travellers were removed from the area.
Officers remained on site to ensure there was no disorder and put traffic control in place to restrict access.
There were no arrests and the site is now being secured by the landlord.
