Police were called to Boundary Lane at 11.25pm yesterday (Thursday) after a gun attack on a man believed to be in his 30s, the WHT understands.

One neighbour said: "I saw a man being put on to the ambulance with blood pouring from his head.

"The police arrived and ran in to the house with their guns.

"There was lots of police cars and an ambulance. Then a helicopter was called out and was hovering above the field behind the houses of the street."

Another resident said: "I heard a gun shot and then a lot of screaming and then there was another gun shot.

"After that a man shouted 'you're finished' and got into his car and drove off.

"The ambulance arrived and ran into the field behind all the houses here where the man was lying.

"There was a big crowd around him and he was there for a long time."

An ambulance spokeswoman said: "We were called to an incident at Boundary Lane were a man suffered a suspected broken leg and arm. The man is not deemed to be in a critical condition."

When contacted by the WHT this morning, a police spokesman said he was unable to confirm details at this time.
