Appeal following criminal damage in Hatfield

Police are appealing for information after a spate of criminal damage to cars in Hatfield.
Officers have already issued details of an offence which occurred between 6pm on Thursday, October 20 and 8am Friday, October 21 when the driver’s door wing mirror of a green Vauxhall Astra was broken off whilst it was parked in Cheviots. (Crime reference number B2/16/4376).
Since that time further offences have been reported in the area. They all occurred in The Downs and are as follows:
A black Nissan Micra was scratched between 12pm on Friday, October 21 and 12pm on Monday, October 24. (crime reference B2/16 4541)
A white Nissan Micra was scratched between 10.30pm on Sunday, October 30 and 11.10pm on Monday, October 31 (crime reference number B2/16/4543)
A white Vauxhall Vivaro van had the front registration plate removed between 6pm on Sunday, October 30 and 9.20am on Monday, October 31.
PC Shaun Buchanan is investigating and said: “It may be that these incidents are linked and I am keen to trace the offender(s) responsible. If anyone has any information which could assist my investigations I would please ask you contact police.”
