A wheelie bin was set alight in Birchwood Close, between 10pm and 9am (B2/15/3022).

A bin was set alight, causing damage to a nearby vehicle in Crawford Road, between 12.30am and 1am (B2/15/3021).

The handlebar of a motorbike was set alight in Fairfield Close, at 1am (B2/15/3019).

A vehicle was torched in Great North Road, at 1.30am (B2/15/3018).

PC Jonathan Ball, from the Welwyn Hatfield Safer Neighbourhood Team, said: “This type of behaviour is extremely reckless and dangerous, particularly given some of items set alight were situated close to houses and could have put life at risk.

“I would appeal to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious behaviour in the Birchwood area overnight, to make contact with police as soon as possible.”
