A MUM is appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the theft of her son's £600 bike outside a supermarket in WGC.

The unique Giant STP turquoise mountain bike was taken from outside Sainsbury's in Church Road, between 4pm and 6pm on Sunday.

Owner Louis Calvert is devastated at the loss of his bike which was a present for his 13th birthday in July.

Mum Sammy Harrison, of Marsden Road, WGC, told the WHT: "He is devastated that he doesn't have it anymore.

"There is only one like it in the town as we have had unique forks attached to it."
