Police are investigating after a 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in Hatfield and are appealing for information and witnesses.
The incident took place at 7.10pm on Friday, November 4, at the roundabout junction with Albatross Way and Mosquito Way.
A 16-year-old girl was crossing the road when she was approached by a man who then sexually assaulted her.
The suspect is described as white, in his mid-20s, between 5ft 9in and 5ft 10in tall and of slim build. He was wearing a red baseball cap.
Detective Constable Graeme Anness, who is investigating, said: “The road would have been very busy at that time of night, so we are particularly keen to speak to motorists who may have seen the incident take place, or have dash cam footage that could hold crucial evidence.
“There are increased patrols in the area every Friday and Saturday night, and I want to reassure the wider community that we are doing everything we can to locate the suspect.”
Anyone who has any information that could assist the investigation should call Hertfordshire Constabulary’s non-emergency number 101, quoting crime reference number B2/16/4616.
