A Cuffley bank was closed for the morning after problems with its doors.

The branch of Barclays in Station Road, Cuffley, had to shut unexpectedly.

Jonathan Clowes, community banking director, said: “There was a problem with the locking mechanism on one of the doors at the branch this morning which meant that for security reasons it was not possible to open.

“Our engineers were soon on site and the problem was resolved by midday.

“We apologise to our customers for the inconvenience caused.”
