ANTHRAX and Killing Joke are the latest additions to the Sonisphere Festival bill at Knebworth this summer.
New York thrash metal act Anthrax and influential gothic rock outfit Killing Joke were announced by organisers this morning for the two-day camping event on August 1-2.
Metal legend and Anthrax guitarist Scott Ian is delighted to be playing the Knebworth festival.
"We are really excited to be making our only UK appearance at Sonisphere," he said.
"We've been anticipating our return to the UK and we are honoured to be a part of this amazing line-up.
"It's also going to be Dan Nelson's first UK gig and what better way to show him off than on this show?
"Leave it to Metallica to create what I will wager is going to be the festival of the year.
"See you at Sonisphere and get ready for a full-on Anthrax attack!"
Also announced today were Nine Inch Nails and Aussie pub-rockers Airbourne.
