A free two-course meal with wine, tea, coffee and chocolates will be on offer for senior citizens in Tewin next month.

The annual Friends of Tewin Senior Citizens Lunch will be held in Tewin Memorial Hall on February 20 from 12.30pm to 4.30pm.

The lunch will be on offer to all residents of the village who are older than 60.

Diners will be served by a dedicated group of community-minded volunteers.

Committee member Hilary Tipping said: “Friends of Tewin fundraise all year, the highlight of which is the August Classic Car Show, and donate all profits to Tewin clubs, societies, the school, church (and others) to help with equipment, building upgrades and other essentials.”

Friends of Tewin provided a meal for 86 people, including several home deliveries for people who wished to attend but were unable, at last year’s event.
