The annual Christmas market is set to return to Hatfield House again next week.

The Conservative Party-run event provides residents with an opportunity to get some early Christmas presents ahead of the festive season.

Welwyn Garden City-based charity Isabel Hospice, which provides support to adults with life-limiting illnesses, receives half of all proceeds – an arrangement that has seen more than £100,000 donated over 30 years.

There will be something for everyone with stalls offering Christmas puddings, health and beauty products, handmade jewellery, clothes and much more.

This year’s event takes place on Saturday, November 4, at its usual setting of the Riding School in the grounds of Hatfield House, from 10.30am to 4pm. Admission is £2 with accompanied children admitted free of charge.

Welwyn Hatfield MP Grant Shapps said: “This annual event is not only a great opportunity to pick up some early Christmas presents but also to help contribute to such a fantastic local charity like the Isabel Hospice.

“So I urge as many people as possible to come to Hatfield House so that we can donate an even bigger cheque this year.”
