Potters Bar primary school pupils were over the moon after their school arranged for exotic animals to pay a visit during an art lesson.
The art and design department at Stormont School, of Potters Bar, arranged for Zoo4you to bring in a variety of animals for the Year 3 class to draw and paint.
The youngsters also got to interact with the animals including a bearded dragon, parrot, rat, snake and meerkat.
The focus for the project was to capture the essence of the animals through recording shape, texture, pattern and colour in their artwork.
The girls also had the opportunity to find out more about each animal, linking with their work in science.
Art and design teacher Lynne Miller said: “In the art and design department at Stormont School we believe that pupils thrive from recording from primary observation from reception upwards.”
